Chrome 1kg Powder Fire Extinguisher
Our Chrome 1kg Powder Fire Extinguisher is as small and as stylish as an extinguisher can get. It comes with an 8A 34B C fire rating, giving you coverage over Class A, B, and C fires. Due to its size and flexibility, this extinguisher is popular among independent tradesmen and is a great fit for premium transport services.
The only drawback of this extinguisher is that it cannot display certain approvals, namely the BSI Kitemark, due to its unique colour. This is nothing to worry about, as it still bears the CE Mark, is UKCA Approved, and has a 5-year warranty. And if that doesn’t allay your concerns, just know that this extinguisher is made alongside our standard red extinguishers that all have BSI approval.
The updated British Standard 5306-8:2012 Selection and positioning of portable fire extinguishers – Code of Practice states as follows:
"5.4.3 Use of powder extinguishers The discharge of a powder extinguisher within buildings can cause a sudden reduction of visibility and can also impair breathing, which could temporarily jeopardise escape, rescue or other emergency action. For this reason, powder extinguishers should generally not be specified for use indoors, unless mitigated by a health and safety risk assessment."
