Double Fire Hydrant Standpipe with Check Valve
Our double fire hydrant standpipe with included check valve is manufactured from high-quality aluminium alloy and provides a straightforward solution for accessing water from a mains underground hydrant. The double head offers two standard UK 2.5" instantaneous outlets to which multiple layflat fire hoses can be securely connected.
The fire hydrant standpipe connects to the 2.5" BSRT outlet on the hydrant using Urban Round Thread (URT) and is only intended for use during a fire. It is supplied with a blank plug and chain to protect the outlets from dust and debris. The hydrant is manufactured by Vigil Products from aluminium and has a working pressure of 25 bar, tested to 35 bar.
Standing at a height of 932mm, please note that a fire hydrant key is required to turn the water flow on or off. The check valve included is water company approved, helpfully stopping water from running back through the standpipe once it has passed through.
