The Vigil fire escape ladder is the ideal solution to ensure a swift and safe escape during emergencies. With a total length of 4.5 metres (14 feet, 7 inches), it quickly hooks around a window sill, making it easy to use for two-storey windows. Lightweight and tangle-free, this ladder is perfect for most homes, allowing you and your family to escape safely through a first-floor bedroom window.
Our Vigil fire escape ladder comes fully assembled and features anti-slip treads with stand-offs, providing a stable and secure footing as you climb down. The ladder is also designed to keep away from the wall, reducing the risk of it moving while in use.
For added peace of mind, our optional child safety harness securely holds a toddler weighing up to 27kg, allowing you to carry them down the ladder facing you while keeping your hands free to climb down safely.
The fire escape ladder is suitable for most 2-storey properties, with a maximum load of 350kg, allowing up to three people to use the ladder at the same time. Before use, ensure the bottom step is close enough to the ground for a safe dismount to avoid injury.
To use the fire escape ladder, ensure the window you intend to escape from is fully open, with a minimum width of 315mm and a maximum sill depth of 250mm. Our fire escape ladder is suitable for domestic use, providing you with a reliable and efficient means of escape during emergency situations.
